Fundraising.
This is a very important function in FF as we rely totally on donations and fundraising events to finance our work. Past fundraising events include our annual Christmas Bazaar and Fashion Shows. We are looking for volunteers to form a much needed Fundraising Team. These volunteers would meet every 2 months or so and be in charge of organizing 2 to 3 fundraising events a year. Call 050-5822916 to register your interest or find out how to make a donation.
Our yearly running costs are around 150,000dhs.
Homing and fostering.
The Homing and Fostering Team ensures that homeable cats and kittens that are surrendered to Feline Friends are well cared for and healthy as they wait for their new families. The Homing Team members take turns managing the calls that come to us about cats needing to be surrendered and people wanting to adopt.
We accept the cats into the program, take them through the process of their health checks, screen potential adoptive families and, finally, see them off to their new homes! The Fostering Team provides homes for kittens and cats that need a little extra tender loving care until they are ready to go to new homes.

Trapping.
The trapping/rescue team help to trap cats for sterilization, take them to the vets for the operation and then release them after the operation. Sick or injured cats are taken to the vet to be assessed.
It’s mostly common sense and compassion and being innovative. Most of the time all we use is the trapping cage and gloves. Situations vary, cats stuck in drains, stuck in locked rooms or buildings or in cars. Rescuing is important because it helps the street cats that are injured and dying and most in need of our help. It also prevents unnecessary suffering.
Being able to drive and having a car is a must. Call 050-5822916.
Feline Friends Emergency Phone.
Volunteers manning the FF Emergency Mobile work for 2-week stints every couple of months then pass the phone to the next person on the Roster. We turn the phone on in the morning around 9 am and then it's turned off around 7 pm, or whenever we've had enough for the day.
We have a fairly concise "Procedures" document that lays out how to handle most of the calls. There are always other FF volunteers around to call for info and support.
